One of the privileges you get as being a student athlete is that you can apply for scholarships. These scholarships are offered by many colleges and help to motivate talented students. These scholarships are managed by the National Collegiate Athletic Association and other accredited organisations which ensures that the students are worthy of the awards and the institutions granting them are also equipped to provide them.
Commitment is required

” Its the eye of the tiger, its the thrill of the fight, rising up to the challenge of our rivals…”
The procedure for being a student athlete involves the student signing a Letter ofIntent with the college they intend to join.
This stipulates the readiness of the student to join the four year educational course for the first time as a student athlete subject to being funded by the school and the student fulfilling the minimal requirements. In addition, during the course of your academic life and as long as you remain an athlete scholar, you cannot take up professional commitments.
